1. Introduction
yourmove.live ("we," "us," "our") operates the yourmove.live platform (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Platform, whether as a viewer, player, or node operator.
By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account registration: When you create an account, we collect your email address, first name, last name, and password (stored as a secure hash — we never store plaintext passwords).
- Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile information from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Payment information: When you make a purchase, payment details (card number, billing address) are collected and processed directly by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number or payment credentials on our servers. We receive a transaction ID and confirmation from Stripe.
- Chat messages: Messages you send in node chat rooms are collected and stored.
- Support requests: If you contact us, we collect the information you provide in your message.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: We collect information about your interactions with the Platform, including nodes visited, queue joins, interactions (shots fired), achievements earned, streaks, and credits earned or spent.
- Device and browser information: We collect your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen resolution.
- Cookies: We use cookies for authentication (session tokens) and basic analytics. See Section 5 for details.
- Clips: When you interact with a device, a short video clip is automatically captured from the node's live stream. These clips are associated with your account.
2.3 Information from Node Operators
Node operators provide information about their nodes, including location (general area, not precise address — displayed publicly), device type, animal information, and operating hours. Operators who receive payouts provide additional identity and financial information through Stripe Connect, which is governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Operate the Platform: Authenticate your account, process payments, manage queues, deliver interactions, and display content.
- Provide features: Track achievements, streaks, leaderboard rankings, credit balances, and interaction history.
- Communicate: Send you account-related notifications, respond to support requests, and provide important updates about the Platform or these policies.
- Improve the Platform: Analyze usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, optimize performance, and develop new functionality.
- Ensure safety: Monitor for abuse, violations of our Terms of Service, animal welfare concerns, and fraudulent activity.
- Moderate content: Review chat messages and interactions to enforce community standards.
- Marketing: With your consent where required, send promotional communications about new features, nodes, or events. You can opt out at any time.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
4.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Platform:
- Stripe, Inc. — Payment processing. Stripe receives your payment information directly and is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google — OAuth authentication. If you sign in with Google, your authentication is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — We use cloud hosting services to store data and serve the Platform.
4.2 Public Information
Certain information is visible to other users:
- Your first name or display name appears in queues, leaderboards, chat, and achievement feeds.
- Auto-captured interaction clips may be displayed publicly on the Platform.
- Your leaderboard rankings and achievement counts are public.
Your email address, last name, and payment details are never displayed publicly.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others (including animals), investigate fraud, or respond to a law enforcement request.
4.4 Business Transfers
If yourmove.live is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Platform before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies:
- Authentication cookie (
token): An HttpOnly, Secure cookie that stores your session token. This is essential for keeping you logged in. It expires after 30 days. - PWA preference (
pwa-dismissed): A session storage flag that remembers if you dismissed the install banner.
We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar tracking tools.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Specifically:
- Account data: Retained until you request account deletion.
- Interaction history and clips: Retained for the lifetime of the Platform for leaderboard and achievement purposes. You may request deletion of your clips.
- Chat messages: Retained for up to 12 months for moderation purposes, then automatically deleted.
- Payment records: Retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years).
- Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt — we never store or have access to your plaintext password.
- Authentication tokens are signed with HMAC-SHA256 and transmitted only over HTTPS.
- Session cookies are marked HttpOnly and Secure to prevent client-side access and transmission over unencrypted connections.
- Database access is restricted and encrypted in transit.
- Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information and account.
- Data portability: Request a machine-readable export of your data.
- Opt out: Opt out of promotional communications at any time.
- Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

8.1 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any sale (we do not sell personal information). 8.2 European Residents (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection. Our legal basis for processing is contract performance (account and service delivery), legitimate interest (security, improvement), and consent (where applicable). You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@yourmove.live and we will delete it promptly.
Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent to use the Platform.
10. Live Streams and Recordings
The Platform features live video streams from node operator locations. These streams capture real-world environments and may incidentally include images of people in or near the camera's field of view.
- Node operators are responsible for ensuring their cameras comply with applicable privacy and surveillance laws in their jurisdiction.
- Operators must not intentionally point cameras at areas where individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
- Auto-captured interaction clips are stored on our servers and may be displayed on the Platform. These clips primarily show animals and devices, not identifiable individuals.
If you believe a stream or clip contains your image without consent, contact us at support@yourmove.live and we will review and remove it if appropriate.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfers. We take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice via email to registered users.
Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
